book reviews on books I've read

No Easy Day

Former Navy Seal Mark Owen gives a first-hand account of what life is like as a Navy Seal, and also what it was like to be on Seal Team Six, the team that went after Osama Bin Laden. His hope is that in writing this book, he will inspire young people to pursue the goal of becoming a Navy Seal, and, since he is donating the proceeds of this book to charity, to raise the public’s conscience about wounded warriors. Owen also sought to clear up the media inaccuracies about the Bin Laden raid.

Overall, the book is an exciting and inspiring¬† read. Owen’s first-hand knowledge adds an authenticity that is refreshing. I highly recommend this book to the non-fiction reader.
